4th EU-India Joint Seminar on Employment and Social Policy on
Skills and Employment Policy in the Context of Recovery from the Global Job Crisis
Dr. Anni Weiler contributed for the second time as a key note speaker to a joint EU-India Seminar on Employment and Social Policy organised within the framework of the bilateral cooperation between India and the Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities of the European Commission.
The joint seminar on Skills and Employment Policy in the Context of Recovery from the Global Job Crisistook place on 5-6 July 2010 in Brussels.
The focus of the joint seminar was on an exchange of experiences and good practices in the area of skills policies between the EU and India and included the context of wider international discussions on employment and social consequences of the crisis at global level. The emphasis was on international cooperation in the area of skills development, anticipation and matching with labour market needs.
In the project EurOccupations, 10 European universities and research institutes are developing an occupations database.
The AWWW GmbH is the German project partner.
